Symptoms

After migrating websites from legacy Linux Shared Hosting to WebHosting Linux (formerly NG) the DNS records like below may still point to the old web server:

  • A-records of the domain aliases. For example, the A-record of the parent domain example.com points to the new IP, while the A-record of the domain alias example.net still point to the old IP.
  • A-records like ftp.example.com

Cause

Such behaviour was recognized as a software-related issue of the migration scripts with ID #OAM-3085 and was fixed in the version 1.0-20.

Resolution

Please download the actual version of the migration scripts from the KB127942. In order to fix incorrect records for already migrated domains, please contact Odin Technical Support.
