Symptoms

  1. During the WebHosting Plesk module deployment task Install PA agent on node pleskwweb01 fails with the following output message: 

    Failed to execute command 'PAgent.exe'. Check logs in 'c:\POA_Deploy' at host '10.5.11.241' for more details about the reasons of failure.

  2. The following strings could be found in the /var/log/pa/core.log : 

    Aug  2 06:29:21.712 : DBG [task:111486:27551 1:1007:7f19b7dfd700 SharedNodeRegistrator ]: [ SharedNodeRegistrator_impl::WindowsNodeRegistrator_impl::taskInstallAgent] Token '280FF334-773B-11E7-8000-02EB3B712A23' was issued for host 'pleskwweb01'
Aug  2 06:29:32.466 : DBG [0:3320:f04 p:-default-threadpool;-w:-Idle:395 pau]: c.p.p.s.d.e.DBServiceBean ' SELECT 1 FROM registrator_add_host_tokens  WHERE host =  ?  AND token =  ?'. Parameters: [pleskwweb01.lab.local, 280FF334-773B-11E7-8000-02EB3B712A23] [sqlpid: 11722]
  3. Windows node is registered in domain.

Cause

Scenario when Windows node for WebHosting Plesk Module deployment is already registered in an AD is not supported in current implementation. Such behavior will be improved in scope of the Feature Request PFR-1379. Request for documentation improvement DOC-427 is created for reflection of such limitation in the corresponding documentation.

Resolution

To workaround the issue:

  1. Cancel failed tasks for service node registration.
  2. Remove the host from Domain.
  3. Register the host in Odin Automation as Web Hosting Plesk node.
