Symptoms
Starting with 7.2, users can preserve their non email-based login names, Odin Automation no longer asks the user to change a non-email login, as it described in the documentation.
However, User Settings screen still requires e-mail based login - it is impossible to save edited settings for users with non-email based logins.
Cause
Due to reported APS-43407, login field on User Settings edit dialog is still validated as e-mail.
Resolution
No workaround for this issue exist at the moment. Please contact your Technical Manager in order to clarify status of APS-43407.
