The errors during logrotate cron job. error: found error in /var/log/ipcount.log.processed

Symptoms

Duplicate entries in /etc/logrotate.d/pem lead to the error while executing cron job.

   /etc/cron.daily/logrotate:

    error: pem:445 duplicate log entry for /var/log/ipcount.log.processed
    error: found error in /var/log/ipcount.log.processed , skipping

Cause

The duplicate entries appeared on the NG server nodes as a result of software issue #POA-113041. The fix is planned to be included in one of the future product updates.

Resolution

Duplicate entries were added by 'ipcount' package which should not be installed on NG cluster nodes. Remove it from the nodes where the issue was encountered to avoid the issue in future.
