Symptoms

The current version of OA is 6.0.

Prechek to OA 7.1 is failing with the error: 

    1.9.  170040-POA-107152-check-bind-zones [BIND]:
            BIND service configuration is not valid on following host(s):

            Host 106:
            isc_dir_chroot: file not found

            Host 104:
            isc_dir_chroot: file not found

           Please fix invalid configuration file(s)/zone(s) before upgrade.

Cause

The issue was caused by the difference in BIND configuration on different versions of OA. The script that is checking BIND services on hosts has changed with OA 7.0 upgrade. Since the OA 7.0 has not been installed, precheck for OA 7.1 is failing on the old version of OA with the mentioned error.

Resolution

Once OA 7.0 is installed, the configuration of BIND will be changed. Precheck script to 7.1 will proccessed without any issue.
