Symptoms
It is not possible to assign a new service to a service user, the following error is shown in CP:
Service user #XXX is already bound to subscription #YYY
Previously, the user had a service assigned from a subscription that has been terminated.
Example scenario:
- A service user mail hosting is bound to an Exchange subscription
- The service user is also assigned to SpamExperts APS2 service
- The Exchange subscription gets removed
- The service user is assigned a new mail hosting
- The error is shown
Cause
The issue is recognized as APS-40998: Service user remains bound to deleted subscription, if it has aps2 service in another subscription"
