Symptoms
We would like to be able to create new Domain registration plans in which DNS use not included or charged for.
- There is a domain registartion subscription in BA, but there is no such domain and such subscription on OA. How was it possible?
Resolution
It is possible with the following configuration:
the domain registration service template has the setting Name Servers Source Type set to Use the following name servers with Primary and Secondary Nses set to some values. As a result on the domain registration no request is sent to OA, no subscription created on OA side, therefore no DNS hosting provided. You will not be able to purchase additional amount of DNS hosting on the same subscription, but an additional service plan can be created (or an existing one used) which provides a DNS hosting resource, the domain shall be added as a registered elsewhere on purchasing this subscription with DNS.
