Cannot enable GlobalRelay subscription: "Domain domain.tld which is registered as a primary in Global Relay is absent in subscription 1000001 or it has no mail hosting"

Symptoms

When mail hosting is absent on Global Relay managed domain and the subscription is disabled, the subscription cannot be enabled back due to the following error:

Service Starting Failed: Parallels Operations Automation error #extype_id #253, module_id #GlobalRelay, Domain domain.tld which is registered as a primary in Global Relay is absent in subscription 1000001 or it has no mail hosting..

Cause

This issue is reported to the OA maintenance team as POA-71337: "Unable to enable subscription with GlobalRelay because GR domain has no mail hosting".

Resolution

Please contact your Account Manager or Pooled Technical Associates team (pta@odin.com) to trace the status of POA-71337.
