Symptoms
The following error is shown when one tries to convert VPS to HW node using the script convert_vps_to_host.py:
VPS001 failed to convert on error: Exception !ERROR [HCL Process] ExSystem: module_id:'Common', ex_type_id:'102',IP '10.20.103.3' : Communication failure with remote server. , now down
All IP addresses were removed from the container both in OA DB and in the container itself by the conversion script.
Cause
Previous failures of VPS conversion.
Resolution
Such issue could occur if you tried to convert VPS several times, and some failures occurred during these attempts. Please restore the VPS from the backup (via vzmlocal) and repeat the conversion.
