Symptoms
OpenSRS has published a security update. Some of the orders for the OpenSRS domains registration fail with
Domain registration failed. Domain registration in OpenSRS failed: error no: 465 error text: Invalid password length: Password should contain at least 10 and at most 20 characters.
Cause
Changed registrant password length requirements. Bug #PBA-66386 ("[OpenSRS] Security Update released by OpenSRS. Password length change") has been submitted to comply with the changes.
Resolution
The bug is fixed in BA 6.0.6, BA 6.0.5 hotfix 126906, BA 5.5.10, BA 5.5.9 hotfix 126928. Install an updated version if it is available or a hotfix.
Until hotfix is installed order resubmit several times may help - BA without bug fix generates passwords 8-12 characters long, so only some of the requests fail.
