This instruction is designed for updating existing installations of Windows Azure Pack APS package, RTM version.

To learn how to install this version of Windows Azure Pack APS package from scratch, please refer to the integration deployment guide available at

  1. Check your PBA version.

    If PBA was upgraded from PBA 5.4 to PBA 5.5, make sure you performed the actions described in the following article: https://kb.cloudblue.com/118187.

  2. Update the Windows Azure Pack APS package RPM using the following command on the node where it is installed:

    # rpm -Uvh WAP-1.4-259.6.parallels.noarch.rpm
    
  3. In the POA control panel, go to Services > Applications, switch to the APS Packages tab and click the Windows Azure Pack APS Package.

  4. Switch to the General tab and click Upgrade.

  5. Perform all the actions listed in Part 3 "Configure Windows Azure Pack" of the Windows Azure Pack Integration Deployment Guide

  6. In the POA control panel, go to Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Windows Azure Pack > Plans and click Synchronize.

  7. Add the resource "WAP Add-on instance" to the flat billing service template with the limit = "Unlimited".

    To do that:

    1. In the POA control panel, go to Products > Service Templates and click the flat billing service template.

    2. Click Deactivate.

    3. Switch to the Resources tab and click Add resources.

    4. Select the "WAP Add-on instance" resource and click Submit. Make sure that the resource is set to be Unlimited.

    5. Activate the service template.
  8. Create Add-ons in the Windows Azure Pack Admin portal using Plans > Add-ons > New and following the Windows Azure Pack instructions.

  9. When add-ons are created on the Windows Azure side, they should be synchronized with POA:

    1. In the POA control panel, go to Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Windows Azure Pack > Add-ons and click Synchronize.

    2. Add-ons with same names as in the Windows Azure Pack admin portal should appear in list.

    3. The resources representing these add-ons in POA are also created. They are named 'WAP %Add-on name%'.
  10. Add the Add-ons resources to the flat billing service template.

    1. In the POA control panel, go to Products > Service Templates and click the flat billing service template.

    2. Click Deactivate.

    3. Switch to the Resources tab and click Add resources.

    4. Select the "WAP %Add-on name%" resource and click Submit.

    5. Make sure that the resource is set to be Unlimited.

    6. Activate the service template.
  11. Add the resources for all new add-ons "WAP %Add-on name%" to PBA resource categories.

    1. Switch to the PBA (Billing) panel and go to Products > Resources > Resource Categories

    2. Choose the already existing %WAP resource category name% and add all the add-ons resources "WAP %Add-on name%" to this resource category.
  12. Add all the add-ons resources "WAP %Add-on name%" to the flat billing service plan and set Show in CP for each of them.

  13. Configure the resource rates for those "WAP %Add-on name%" resources.

  14. Synchronize any related plans and subscriptions.
