Symptoms
When user configures permissions on a folder through the File Manager, the permissions are not applied to sub-folders of the folder.
Cause
The problem is caused by the defect POA-81639.
Resolution
The issue is going to be fixed in the POA 5.5.2. Consider upgrading to this version when it is released.
