Symptoms

Some applications in a customer subscription are located in the 'More Services' tab in the Customer Control Panel instead of being placed on the top tab bar.

Cause

The POA Customer Control Panel is designed this way:

  • The following tabs are always present(if available in subscription/account) in the top row and not moved to More Services:

    Home
    Hosted Domains
    Registered Domains
    Applications
    Application Vault
    More Services (itself)
    Account
    Help & Support
    CLM (CSD feature)

For all other services and applications:

  • Only 5 services at maximum may be shown in the Customer CP as top tabs, all other services (and applications in particular) are placed in the 'More Services' tab.

  • If the 'Users' tab is enabled in POA Provider Control Panel at System Director > Configuration Manager > Custom Menu Manager > CCP Menu Structure, then only 4 tabs with services may be shown in the Customer CP. Other services are placed in the 'More Services' tab.

OA 6.0 behavior

In the OA 6.0 tab bar was redesigned and the following behavior is correct for 6.0.x versions:

  1. The following tabs are always present(if available in subscription/account) in the top row and not moved to More Services:

    Home
    Hosted Domains
    Registered Domains
    Applications
    Application Vault
    More Services (itself)
    Account
    Help & Support
    CLM (CSD feature)

  2. Custom menu items (created by customer himself, named like "ext_menuXX") are also not moved to the More Services tab.
  3. Then the rules from above comes into action: if "Users" tab is enabled, then only 4 service tabs are shown, the rest are moved to "More Services". Otherwise 5 is the limit.

CCP of one of the customers taken for example is following this rule:

  1. Home, Hosted Domains, Applications, Account, Help & Support - not moved.

  2. Exchange Extras - custom menu (ext_menu11).

  3. Users - counts as one.

  4. Exchange Emails, Websites, Pinnacle Cart, Anti-Spam - 4 remaining services. The rest are moved to "More Services"
