Symptoms

Provider cannot add IPv6 pool to network group in PACI configuration in POA Provider Control Panel at Infrastructure > Network Groups > CI Network Group > Public Pools > Edit, the following error message is displayed:

Error text: "Unable to apply the changes made to the network group CI Network Group. Error: P80062: Gateway is not in subnet for public net: 14"

POA version is 5.5 Update 1.

Cause

Incorrect IP address of the gateway is configured in the IPv6 pool.

The following IPv6 pools are configured in POA:

Name            Address Space                                                   Netmask                                 Gateway
IPv6 pool #1    4401:3f00:160:4::      - 4401:3f00:160:4:7fff:ffff:ffff:ffff    ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:0000:0000:0000:0000 2401:3f00:160:4::1
IPv6 pool #2    4401:3f00:160:4:8000:: - 4401:3f00:160:4:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff    ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:0000:0000:0000:0000 4401:3f00:160:4::1

Each IPv6 pool should have its own gateway inside the 'Prefix' network, not in the 'Subnet Prefix' network. As you can see in the example above the IP address 2401:3f00:160:4::1 is out of the 2401:3f00:160:4:8000:: - 2401:3f00:160:4:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff range.

Resolution

Set correct gateway IP address in the IPv6 pool (to be within the 'Prefix' network) and try to add IPv6 pool to network group again.
