Symptoms
During creating Resource Type based on the 'Shared Hosting PHP' Resource Class Provider cannot choose the 'fastcgi' option in the 'Path to php binary' activation parameter, the 'fastcgi' option is absent in the list of available options:
Cause
Web Cluster Apache extensions are not in sync.
Resolution
Synchronize Apache extensions on the NG webcluster:
- Log into POA Provider Control Panel
- Go to Infrastructure > Hardware Nodes > Websclusters
- Click on the NG cluster
- Switch to the Apache Extensions tab
- Click the Synchronize Apache Extensions button
POA 5.5 Provider's Guide says about the above provided solution in the Creating 'Shared Hosting PHP' Resource Type section:
Note: PHP in CGI mode can be used in both Legacy and NG Linux Shared Hosting. PHP as module can be used only in Legacy Linux Shared Hosting. FastCGI is for NG Linux Shared Hosting only. If there is no FastCGI option within the list, synchronize apache extensions on the webcluster following the instructions of the Submitting Information about Manually Installed Apache Extensions to POA (on page 404) section. It is also possible to use custom versions of PHP. To have a custom version enabled within the list of PHP implementations you need to perform the instructions provided in Linux Shared Hosting Deployment Guide > Appendix > Enabling Alt-PHP.
