Symptoms
Provider configured CentralNIC domain registration plug-in in PBA at External Systems Director > Domain Manager > Registrars and they want to make sure that configuration is correct.
When clicking the 'Test Connection' button on the 'Configuration' tab in the plug-in properties the following error is displayed:
Connection failed.
Server requires Client certificate validation, no client certificate provided
Also, in the plug-in log file CENTRALNIC.log on the PBA Application Server the following entry may appear:
IO::EX :IO library exception.; [../stlrt/io/sslsocket.cpp:221] SSL certificate loading error("/root/epp.pem"): Cannot read public key.
Cause
Incorrect or empty certificate and/or private key files are specified in the CentralNIC plug-in configuration.
Resolution
Follow the steps below to resolve the problem.
Log into PBA Provider Control Panel
Go to External Systems Director > Domain Manager > Registrars > CentralNIC > Configuration
Make sure that correct certificate and private key files are specified in plug-in configuration:
- Certificate File (Path to PEM certificate file)
- Key File (Path to private key file)
- Make sure that the files specified in the CentralNIC plug-in configuration are not empty and contain valid data (certificate itself and its private key).
