Symptoms
A customer wants to create resource mailbox (room or equipment) in their Parallels Automation Hosted Exchange subscription.
Resolution
First of all, ensure that a customer has available units of the 'Resource Mailboxes' resource in their subscription. This can be done in POA Provider or Customer Control Panel in subscription properties.
If a customer does not have available units of the resource then they have to either purchase additional units of the resource or switch their subscription to another Service Plan with this resource available.
If a customer has available units of the 'Resource Mailboxes' resource in their subscription then perform the following actions:
- Log into POA Customer Control Panel
- Go to the Exchange tab > More Services > Resource Mailboxes
- Click the 'Add New Resource mailbox' button
- Fill all parameters, select resource mailbox type - Room or Equipment
- Click Submit
As a result POA will create the background task 'Create resource mailbox with E-Mail Address' which will create the ordered resource mailbox.
