Symptoms

A customer ordered upgrade of their Plesk license from 10 domains to 100 domains. Order provisioning fails with the error message from Parallels Key Administrator:

Conflicting feature set

In PBA resource upgrade from 10 domains to 100 domains is present and configured this way:

In the KAGATE.log file on the PBA Application Server the following request from PBA to Key Administrator is logged:

<param>
  <value>
    <string>PLESK_10_AND_LATER_FOR_VZ</string>
  </value>
</param>
<param>
  <value>
    <array>
      <data>
        <value><string>100_DOMAINS_FOR_VZ</string></value>
        <value><string>10_DOMAINS_FOR_VZ</string></value>
      </data>
    </array>
  </value>
</param>

The same problem may appear if customer ordered new Plesk license.

Cause

Dependencies for the 10 Domains and 100 Domains features on Plesk licenses are not configured at all or configured incorrectly.

The 10 domains and 100 domains features cannot be provisioned in the same license, these are mutually exclusive options, as any other number of domains in Plesk license. Only one feature defining number of domains may be ordered in a Plesk license.

Resolution

  1. Log into the PBA Provider Control Panel

  2. Go to Product Director > Resource Manager > Resources

  3. Find the resource for the 10 Domains license feature and click on it

  4. Switch to the Depends On tab

  5. Add new or correct the existing dependence for the 100 Domains resource with Dependence Kind set to Conflicts like on the screenshot below:

  6. Resubmit the failed order for provisioning.

Refer to the Parallels Knowledgebase article #113884 Advanced License Management Topics for more details about the proper configuration of license resources in PBA.
