Provider has several domain controllers in Active Directory, and the problem affects the preferred DC. If Provider switch preferred DC to another one task can be executed successfully.

Also, native AD utilities, e.g. 'dsquery', can work with problem domain controller without issues.

Problem domain controller has no 'Global Catalog' role assigned. POA requires that all DCs in Active Directory infrastructure have Global Catalog role assigned.

Also, AD replication service may fail.

Assign role 'Global Catalog' to all domain controllers in Active Directory infrastructure managed by POA.

Use the Active Directory native utilities like repadmin to check replication status on the problem Domain Controller: repadmin /showrepl
and try to force synchronization with other Domain Controllers: repadmin /syncall or repadmin /replicate
