POA cannot delete webspace on Windows shared host, the task fails:

Task name: Delete webspace (ds_id=123, hd_id=100001) on host '' (host_id=11).
Last execution output: Exception during execution of MPF request:
'The library, drive, or media pool must be empty to perform this operation.
 [<response><errorContext description="Unable to delete object IIS:// ex_p00100001
0x800710d3: The library, drive, or media pool must be empty to perform this operation." code="0x800710d3" executeSeqNo="2">
 <errorSource namespace="Error Provider" procedure="SetError"/></errorContext></response>]'.

IIS application pool ex_p00100001 mentioned in the failed task properties is misconfigured, most probably due to manual changes in IIS Manager. It has Default Application set in the section Application Settings on the Home Directory tab of properties.

For IIS 6:

  • Log onto the Windows Shared Hosting server in question by RDP and run IIS Manager
  • Go to Web Sites and find the site related to affected webspace
  • Open properties of this website, go to Home Directory tab and click Remove near the Application name field
  • Restart the failed task in POA

For IIS 7:

Same properties can be located by clicking the required site and then clicking View Applications.
