Mailbox provisioned via POA has container All Users listed in the attribute ShowInAddressBook in properties of the corresponding user in Active Directory.

The full LDAP path to the container may look like this:
CN=All Users, CN=All Address Lists, CN=Address Lists Container, CN=HostedExchange, CN=MicrosoftExchange, CN=Services, CN=Configuration, DC=provider, DC=com

The container All Users should not be added in the attribute ShowInAddressBook, only the Default Global Address List, the Address List and Global Address List of customer's OU (organizational unit) should be added in this attribute.

The reason of problem is that Exchange SP1 or SP2 or SP3 were installed recently. It is a known issue when Service Pack installation restores/re-creates system address lists like All Users, All Groups, All Contacts, All Rooms.

It breaks HMC (Hosted Messaging and Collaboration) security so these objects must be deleted and Default Address List must be secured again right after the first Exchange 2007 SP1/SP2/SP3 is installed.

To restore HMC security follow the steps below:
  1. Log onto MPS node
  2. Open the MPS Deployment Tool
  3. Execute Configure Exchange Address Lists security located under Hosted Exchange > Exchange Provisioning Configuration
