  1. Login as root on your Parallels Pro Control Panel for Linux box
  2. Backup your current sendmail conf file
    cp /etc/mail/ /etc/mail/
  1. Prepare sendmail’s certificate
    cd /usr/share/ssl/certs
    make sendmail.pem

    You will be prompted with several questions typical for SSL certificate generation)
  1. Backup /usr/lib/opcenter/sendmail/install/ file
cp /usr/lib/opcenter/sendmail/install/ /usr/lib/opcenter/sendmail/install/
  1. Edit /usr/lib/opcenter/sendmail/install/ file
 vi /usr/lib/opcenter/sendmail/install/

Uncomment the following lines to point to your generated certificate

Add DAEMON_OPTIONS to make sendmail listen on port 465

DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=, Name=MTA')dnl
DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtps, Name=SSLMTA, M=s')dnl
(please pay attention to first symbol after opening bracket it should be ` and closing symbol prior to closing bracket should be '   )
  1. Rebuild sendmail conf file
m4  /usr/lib/opcenter/sendmail/install/ > /etc/mail/
  1. Restart sendmail
/sbin/service sendmail restart
  1. You can check if sendmail is listening on 465 port by issuing command
netstat –nlp | grep 465

The command should produce smth. Like this
tcp        0      0       *                   LISTEN      10118/sendmail: sm-
