How can I install a secondary DNS on the NFS server?

1)in the /etc/exports file /usr/local/DomainDirector/etc genesis(rw,no_root_squash)

2)If these services are not enabled on startup

chkconfig nfs on

chkconfig portmap on

chkconfig nfslock on

3) If they are not running do the following:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/portmap start

/etc/rc.d/init.d/nfslock start

/etc/rc.d/init.d/nfs start

The order is important.

 4) define the name of the nfs client in the /etc/hosts

exactly as it was written in the /etc/exports file.

On the NFS client:

1) add the string to the /etc/fstab file:

make a directory where you want to see the named.conf file from the slave

exodus:/usr/local/DomainDirector/etc /usr/local/DomainDirector/etc/slave

nfs soft,bg,intr 0 0

2) chkconfig netfs on

3) chkconfig portmap on

chkconfig nfslock on

4) add the address of the nfs server to the /etc/hosts file

5) /etc/rc.d/init.d/portmap start

/etc/rc.d/init.d/nfslock start

/etc/rc.d/init.d/netfs start
