This is a known issue with SDW installation.

The source of the problem is having two NICs with the same name on the machine.

If you have two NICs with the same name, for example: "HP NC7781 Gigabit Server Adapter".

The OS will name them:

"HP NC7781 Gigabit Server Adapter"

"HP NC7781 Gigabit Server Adapter #2"

SD installation will try to use the first NIC (in this example "HP NC7781 Gigabit Server Adapter")

In order to complete the installation successfully the NIC that is used for SD installation must be the first in:

Start -> Settings -> Network and Dial-up Connections -> Advanced -> Advanced settings -> Connections

*Please note:

The displayed name in the Advanced settings screen is a logical name that the user assigns to the NIC.

To view the actual name of the NIC (the name that is used by SD installation), you have to view the properties of the connection in the Network and Dial-up Connections screen.

You may also view all the NIC details when executing ipconfig all in the OS command prompt.
