Sphera services going down randomly

How to diagnose:

1) SD log contains the following message:

"Failed to add an IP address with subnet mask "

2) When starting Sphera manually in debug mode (the environment variable SPHERA_XMLPATH

should contain the path of hostdir.xml.

   /bin/sphera -d

One of the following messages appears in the debug file:

a) Broadcast and VDS IP addresses have different network number

b) Illegal broadcast IP address

In order to solve it please do as below :

All the occurrences of the wrong broadcast address should be replaced with the proper broadcast address in the XML file.

The network configuration for SD is defined in /etc/sphera.netconf which must match with hostdir.xml file.

Modified the hostdir.xml file inter the proper broadcast IP address in the XML file. Before modifying the hostdir.xml do not forgot to take backup of the hostdir.xml.

Restart the Sphera with SPHADMIN command.
