SD Installation errors (1720)


Upon a SD installation, you might face installation errors.

The errors indicate that the installation process failed due to problems that our Scripts can not handle usually the error will have the number 1720 which is quite a general error.

In order to try to receive the most information on the error please try the following:

1.  Look at the title bar of the error pop up windows, in order to find the step when the installation fails.

2.  Check the installation_log at c:/system32/serverdirector/temp

3.  Look at the Event log it might indicate the name of the SD script that failed (sometimes it will indicate the line number).

Please note that most of the errors are AD related the best indication for this will be when you see an error in the installation log about adding a user or creating a quota entry. You can also get information from the manager.log depends if the operation failed while it was on Add primary VDS or earlier.
