*AuditVDS - a VDS tool, which is designated to identify and fix problems in ServerDirector. For more information, please refer to the Audit VDS tool guide, which is available in the Sphera FTP site.

Running the AuditVDS:

(From [SD Base]/bin/AuditVDS)

*(For the first time) ./auditVDS -n auditVDS -i

./auditVDS -n [VDS User] -t –v (test)

./auditVDS -n [VDS User] -f –v (fix)

*Running AuditVDS for the first time on Server requires building the DB.

By default, the command: “ ./auditVDS -n auditVDS –i “ will build DB with UP1 settings or above.

If you are running AuditVDS for the first time on a Server without UP1, then you will encounter a problem as the DB will be generated with UP1 information (such as sticky bit), which is different from the information on the Server.

The solution is to generate a new DB with the information of a new VDS you have just created.

For example:

1. Add a VDS with default settings

2. Execute the following command:

./auditVDS -n <vds-name> -I

Known Bugs:

If the domain starts with a number (for example,, then Python XML parser will fail to perform the fix of the VDS after the test is successfully completed.
