You can run mail service by this way, but you have to do it manually by editing qmail startup file. These changes have to be perfomed every time new upgrade is applied. Edit the qmail startup script : on Linux: #vi /etc/init.d/qmaild on FreeBSD: #vi /usr/local/etc/rc.d/ Find the following string : ... tcpserver -H -R -c ${TCP_SERVERS} ${PER_IPLIMIT} -x ${RELAY_DB} -u ${USER_VPOPMAIL} -g ${GROUP_VCHKPW} 0 smtp ${RBL} qmail-smt pd vchkpw `which true` cmd5checkpw `which true` | splogger smtpd 3 & add the same string and replace the values '0 smtp' with '0 NN' where NN is your custom port number.
