By default, H-Sphere uses 8 symbols for FTP/system user names. This is done for backward compatibility with old *nix versions. Thus, when account is set up, customer's FTP name is shortened to 8 symbols, and directory was created with that 8-char name. To override this limitation, edit the ~cpanel/shiva/psoft_config/ file and set the USER_LOGIN_LENGTH parameter: USER_LOGIN_LENGTH=xx Where xx is maximum length of Unix/FTP login name (it is safe to use up to 16 characters). After that, restart control panel.
