Outlined below is a list of all the issues which have been faced with the Spamassassin version 3.0.x on Ensim Pro for Linux. Each issue is accompanied by a hotfix which was released to address that particular issue. Please make sure that you apply the hotfixes as per the given instructions.
1) After upgrading the Spamassassin, error in /var/log/maillog
Mar 27 00:10:50 www spamc: connect(AF_INET) to spamd at 127.0.0.1 failed, retrying (#1 of 3): Connection refused
Edit your firewall settings to allow port 783, used by spamd
2) /etc/mail/sendmail.cf: line 93: fileclass: cannot open '/etc/mail/local-host-names': Group writable directory
The following command addresses this issue:
‘chmod g-w /home/virtual/*.*/etc’
