Symptoms

Test connection for the instance fails with the following error message:

Failed to connect to the Partner Center API. Error: AADSTS65001: The user or administrator has not consented to use the application with ID '70591bea-0c7e-45dc-adea-cc339a5fcd01' named 'Odin Automation Office 365 Integration'. Send an interactive authorization request for this user and resource. Trace ID: da39df00-5085-4595-ba85-68fa21c2b700 Correlation ID: b0dc99d0-5f30-4404-9506-ac5cb5f457f4 Timestamp: 2019-12-24 16:14:12Z.

Cause

There are several possible reasons:

  1. According to security guidelines from Microsoft, Ingram Micro as a Control Panel Vendor (in Microsoft terms) has own application on Microsoft side. This application is named 'Odin Automation Office 365 Integration' and has ID '70591bea-0c7e-45dc-adea-cc339a5fcd01'. Error message shows that required permissions for this application in scope of provider's tenant were revoked.
  2. The same partner has two Office 365 application instances. One of them is configured as Direct CSP Provider while other configured following The Ingram Micro Syndication Scenario. These two scenarios conflict with each other.

Resolution

Case #1:

Acquire new refresh token for the instance. Required permissions should be restored on Microsoft side in the process.

Case #2:

Upgrade your Office 365 application to version 19.3. In this version such instances do not conflict with each other.
