Symptoms
Reseller Transactions for exacly the same Resource have different Discounts applied. Both Discounts are by Account/Customer Class and have the Resource included into them. The Reseller is eligible for both Discounts by the Customer Class.
Cause
The documentation describes the defined priority of Discount appllication, it is the following:
Discount by submitted promo code.
Discount for the certain customer and certain plan period.
Discount for the certain customer and certain plan.
Discount for the certain customer, regardless of plan.
Discount for the customer class, to which the customer belongs to, and specific plan period.
Discount for the customer class and specific plan.
Discount for the customer class, regardless of plan.
However, the assignemnt priority logic if both Discounts are by Customer Class and for the same Resource is not defined.
An internal request #FND-3641 "Discounts including the same resource are applied randomly" has been submitted to improve the product functionality in the relation of discounts assignment priority.
