Symptoms
During the Office365 synchronization from CCP the following messages appear:
Failed to add 1 user(s):
- info@subdomain.somedomain.net (The Office 365 user 'info@subdomain.somedomain.net' cannot be created because the domain 'subdomain.somedomain,net' is not registered in the Office 365 organization.)
Failed to add 1 domain(s):
- subdomain.somedomain.net (Unable to create domain in Operations Automation: Domain name conflicts with existing domain '__domain_name__' (#__domain_id__). Subdomain in '__domain_name__' should be created instead.)
During the synchronization the following message appears in the core.log:
Nov 20 22:40:09.352 : DBG [pau-rest-endpoints:93240 pa-rest-task-212:1200 pau]: c.p.p.s.a.e.APSExceptionMapper Error occurred javax.ejb.EJBTransactionRolledbackException: Domain name conflicts with existing domain 'somedomain.net' (#4962). Subdomain in 'somedomain.net' should be created instead.
Cause
The property "Allow parent and child domains" set to "No" for customer's domain 'somedomain.net' in OA. More information about this ability can be found in the corresponding documentation article.
Resolution
Set the property "Allow parent and child domains" to "Yes" for the affected domain and restart synchronization in CCP.
