Symptoms

  1. During an NG Web Node removal from the cluster, task Cleanup packages on host fails with the output:

    Failed to process executeDeinstallSequence for pkgId: 5440, ex message is: Failed to process DII command for package SaaSBrandProxy of type other having pkgId: 5440, exception message: Failed to process DII, input xml: <DII>

  2. The same error can be found in /var/log/pa/core.log on Core Node:

Cause

The issue is caused by software-related issue #POA-116401: Cannot remove web nodes from cluster.

Resolution

Contact your Technical Account Manager or Pooled Technical Associate Team (pta@odin.com) in order to trace the current status of #POA-116401 and to apply a workaround.
