Symptoms

  1. Domain DNS hosting is hosted by Plesk in VPS(PVPS) instance.
  2. DNS zone is synced with PVPS nameserver.
  3. Button Desynchronize DNS zone with Plesk is not active under CCPv2 > VPS > VPS instance > Manage Plesk > Manage DNS zones.

Cause

Side-effect of software issue #CCU-17354: Unable to log in to Plesk if Plesk public IP is IPv6

Resolution

In order to fix affected DNS zone, please use attached script. For example, for domain zone domain.tld use script as follows:

  1. Download the script on Odin Automation core node.

  2. Run the script as:

    python fix_dns_props.py domain.tld

    Note: Script accepts only 1 domain as an argument per 1 execution.
