Symptoms
A customer has transferred an existing domain by placing a Sales Order. After the transfer was completed, it was found that the previous domain name servers were replaced by the vendor's ones.
Cause
There are two possible causes:
- Domain Service Template has the "Name Servers For Domain Transfer" parameter set to "Move domain to Provider's name servers";
- During the transfer attempt, the system could not acquire the domain name servers and used the vendor's NS configured in OA.
Resolution
To save the existing name servers of transferred domains, set the "Name Servers For Domain Transfer" parameter of the appropriate Service Template to "Leave existing name servers".
