Symptoms

  1. Task Execute operation provisionWebsite failed with error like:

    APS Application Error:
500 Internal Server Error
`Body: {"code":500,"message":"Error occurred during request to WHP API on service node 192.0.2.2: \"\".","type":"WhpApiException","details":{"errorCode":14008,"error":"PmShm.Sdk.Exception_DbServerConnectionFailed","info":{"host":"203.0.113.2","port":5432,"type":"postgresql","admin":"***","password":"***"}}}`

  2. Service node with role PostgreSQL 9.2 database server is registered in the system.

  3. WebHostingPlesk Service Template configured to use Any shared database server on Database Hosting tab. (please, check Screenshot_1.jpg)

Cause

IIS-based web hosting does not support PgSQL Databases. For more details please check Plesk Knowledge Based article.

The issue with provisioning has been considered as a software issue #WHM-10283 and will be fixed in future product updates.

Resolution

To workaround the issue it's possible to use solution provided by you earlier:

  1. Change Database Servers as Selected shared database servers under Service Template > Database Hosting
  2. Synchronize subscriptions with Service Template.
  3. Restart failed task.
