Symptoms
Customer reinstalled the host anew and after that tried to reregister the host in OA platform. However, the task 'Reinstall package 'pleskd' on node' failed with the following error:
The remote server is down, details:
system exception, ID 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/OBJECT_NOT_EXIST:1.0'
Unknown vendor minor code id (53550000), minor code = 535503ec, completed = NO
In core.log the following lines could be seen:
DBG [task:127:92737 1:3503:7f3a0efef700 lib ]: [ Tasks::impl::TaskImpl::process] {module_id="Common"; code="103"} The remote server is down, details:
system exception, ID 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/OBJECT_NOT_EXIST:1.0'
All other operations with PPM packages were blocked too with the same messages.
Cause
Someone tried to invoke ppm_ctl, but with incorrect order of arguments. That caused PPM component to malfunction.
POA-113396: 'CORBA/UNKNOWN error on ppm_ctl causes further unavailability of ppm component' has been submitted.
Resolution
To restore PPM functionality, please restart OA services as described in the following article.
