Provider has installed and configured the EZTax plugin as described in OA Billing Provider's Guide. When trying to test connection by pressing the [test connection] button at the System > Settings > Taxation > BillSoft EZTax screen the following message can be seen:

Connection failed. Error description: Operation failed with error code : 28; Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds


Billing Application server cannot connect to the EZTax server


Make sure that:

  1. Firewall rules allow outgoing connections to;
  2. Billing application node can successfully resolve hostname '';
  3. External IP address of billing application node is included in EZTax white list.
