Office 365 sales order and the task Provisioning "Subscription" for APS application Office 365 fail with the below output:

APS Application Error:
500 Internal Server Error
[ApplicationUnknownError] Domain '__domain_name__' already exists..

At the same time, the subscription is successfully provisioned in MOP.


The domain in question already exists in OA under different customer.


  1. Find the domain name at Billing > Operations > Orders > All Orders > click the order > Provisioning Items, click the item and find the domain name next to the Office 365 Subdomain field

  2. Go to Operations > Services > Domains > domain_name > Owner

Next, check the domain's owner. If the owner's account is cancelled, does not have subscription and domain is disabled, please follow the below steps:

  • Delete the domain at Operations > Services > Domains
  • Restart the failed task Provisioning "Subscription" for APS application Office 365
  • Resubmit the failed order for provisioning
