Symptoms
Trying to update name server for a domain, registered with eNom registrar, the following error appears in the control panel:
"Update of name servers for domain name.com failed: Unknown error while calling plug-in container. HTTP operation failed with error code 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds
The error also appears on the eNom plugin configuration page, pressing "Test connection" button:
HTTP operation failed with error code 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds
Cause
Network misconfiguration on the BA Application host. Incorrect IP address for the domain reseller.enom.com has been forcibly specified in the /etc/hosts file.
Resolution
Remove incorrect record from /etc/hosts file
