Symptoms

If default preset configurations are renamed, CCP throws the error if choosing it when creating VPS:

An unforeseen error occurred. Please contact admin@example.com.

Cause

When the first page of VPS creation is loaded, Session Manager stored only the first loaded present configurations. When user changes Operating System type the set of presets changes as well. But the Session Manager still stores the old values and does not recognize new preset names when user proceeds through wizard.

The root cause of the misbehavior if the software issue #CCU-13119. The fix is planned to be included in one of the future product updates.

Contact your Technical Account Manager or PTA team (pta@odin.com) to clarify the status of #CCU-13119.

Workaround

Set the equal amount of configuration presets with the same names for each resource type of 'Virtual Environment' type in a service template.

Session Manager stores only the first configuration presets tha CCP loads. If all the operating systems contained the same presets, that would not affect Session Manager as the values it stored would always be corresponding to preset customer uses.
