Unable to send and receive emails on a server running Postfix. The following errors appear in /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog on Postfix Service node:

    May 25 12:34:27 mail1 postfix/smtpd[11989]: fatal: non-null host address bits in "", perhaps you should use "" instead
    May 25 12:34:28 mail1 postfix/master[1728]: warning: process /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd pid 11989 exit status 1
    May 25 12:34:28 mail1 postfix/master[1728]: warning: /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup -- throttling


Incorrect configuration of Postfix file.


  1. Login to Postfix Service Node and check postfix configuration file:

    # cat /etc/postfix/ | grep -w mynetworks | grep -v "#"
    mynetworks =, [::1]/128,
  2. Change following value to or if you need to allow send emails from whole subnet segment.

  3. Restart postfix:

    # service postfix restart
    Shutting down postfix:                                     [  OK  ]
    Starting postfix:                                          [  OK  ]
