During placing an order for an SSL certificate parameters 'Organization Name' and 'Organization Unit' are mandatory for Comodo SSL certificate types. However, end-users are able to submit an order with mentioned parameters left empty. As a result, the following error response received from eNom:
This Organization Validation cert requires both Organization Name and Unit. Please create a new CSR with these values and resubmit.
Is it possible to make 'Organization Name' and 'Organization Unit' parameters mandatory for Comodo SSL certificates?
That is possible since OBAS 4.5.7. To make sure that OBAS checks whether the fields Organization name and Organizational unit name have been completed when purchasing Comodo certificates, please upgrade to 4.5.7 as described in How to upgrade OBAS system to the latest available version.
Hotfix for 4.5.5 version
If upgrade is not an option for you, there is a hotfix for 4.5.5 version. To install it, please download 64-bit hotfix or 32-bit hotfix depending on your OS and install it by running the commands below.
For 64-bit OS:
# rpm -Uvh hspc-plugin-ssl-enom-4.5.5-64.swsoft.x86_64.rpm # hspc-upgrade-manager --finish
For 32-bit OS:
# rpm -Uvh hspc-plugin-ssl-enom-4.5.5-64.swsoft.i386.rpm # hspc-upgrade-manager --finish
hspc-upgrade-manager --finish will cause OBAS downtime for several minutes.
