Symptoms
A Windows service node status is 'Active', but opening General > Statistics shows the following error:
Host is not functioning
pem service is started on the node.
C:\Program Files (x86)\SWSoft\PEM\Logs\poa.log contains the error:
[ ServiceInfoConfig::loadXMLConfig] Unable to read service configuration file: Unable to get root element.
Cause
Malformed configuration files of OA Agent.
Resolution
Stop OA Agent service:
net stop pem
Review the structure of all files located inside C:\Program Files (x86)\SWSoft\PEM\etc directory and resolve any detected inconsistencies.
Start the service back:
net start pem
