When I try to delete a backup OBAS just says

Removing of 1 backup(s) has(ve) been scheduled successfully

What does it mean? How do I know when will it be executed? How can process the task processed immediately?


There is such a thing in OBAS as Tasks Queue that can be checked under Top > Configuration Director > Logging and Errors > Action Log > Tasks Queue. When a user commands OBAS to do something, OBAS creates a new task, puts it in the queue and executes it after some time. If a task is in Pending status, there is the Run now button on its screen. As a rule, only Periodic tasks are Pending, other tasks are executed very fast. Please check the Tasks Management page of the OBAS Provider's Guide to learn more on tasks.

The message "Removing of 1 backup(s) has(ve) been scheduled successfully" means that a task for backup removal was created and put in the task queue.

To check its progress, please go Top > Configuration Director > Logging and Errors > Action Log > Tasks Queue, put backup in the Description field and press Search thus filtering all backup-related tasks. Locate the task and click on it, you will get to the task screen.

If the task has failed and is in Error status, proceed to the task troubleshooting.
