The list of TLDs with ability to set WHOIS privacy from eNom "ID Protect FAQs":

Which TLDs allow ID Protect?

ID Protect can be purchased for the following TLDs: com, net, org, biz, info, name, tv, cc, me

Such behavior was classified as the software issue PBAS-30339 and fixed in OBAS 4.5.7 release.

To resolve the issue, please upgrade to 4.5.7 as described in How to upgrade OBAS system to the latest available version.

Workaround for 4.5.6 and earlier versions

  1. Add "me" and "name" to the list of TLDs in plug-in constants file /usr/local/share/perl5/HSPC/MT/Plugin/DM/eNom/ The string should look like:

    use constant ENOM_IDP_TLDS => qw|com net biz org info cc tv me name|;
  2. Restart hspcd service:

    #service hspcd restart

    Warning: Restart of the hspcd service will cause OBAS downtime for about 10-60 seconds.
