Symptoms

Cannot add a virtualization/backup hardware node. Either of the 2 symptoms appear:

  1. The task "Install additional packages on node 'oaci.example.org' according role PACI_HN_PSBM" fails with error:

    Instance Manager rejects the request with the message P10007: Unexpected SQL error encountered: ERROR: IP address 10.37.130.2 is already associated with another node

  2. An attempt to add a node fails with the error:

    IP address 10.37.130.2 is already configured on host 109

Cause

IP address 10.37.130.2 is an internal address, used by Virtuozzo on Linux bridge interfaces (br0 as an example). This IP is not routable, and it is the same on any Virtuozzo node. Therefore it should not be used as any kind of network interface during hardware node registration.

Resolution

  1. Cancel the task "Install additional packages on node 'oaci.example.org' according role PACI_HN_PSBM".

  2. Remove the service node 'oaci.example.org' under Infrastructure > Service Nodes to delete corresponding records from DB and be able to re add the node.

  3. Add the service node again without specifying IP 10.37.130.2 for any network.
