Symptoms

Upgrade of Odin Automation to version 7.0 failed.

Cause

This problem is caused by incorrect or not supported configuration of a brand.

Resolution

Depending on the error message you recieved during Odin Automation upgrade, solutions for the problem may vary.

Note: A complete list of bradning configuration restrictions can be found in the Odin Automation 7.0 Upgrade Workflow Guide. Make sure you have read it before running precheck or starting the upgrade procedure.

Problem:

Brand <brand-domain> is hosted on a non-UI node.

Solution:

Migrate your brand content to a UI node before upgrading Odin Automation.

Problem:

Domain name of the brand <brand-domain> contains suffix reserved for system use.

Solution:

Change suffix of the brand domain name. The list of suffixes reserved for system used is provided below:

  • aps
  • pem
  • webgate
  • ccp

Problem:

There are site applications installed to the brand's webspace.

Solution:

Uninstall all the site applications from the brand's webspace before upgrading Odin Automation.

Problem:

There are websites on the node where the brand is hosted: <list>

Solution:

Move these websites to another node or move brand(s) to a separate host before upgrading to 7.0.

Problem:

IP address for brand <brand_name> is configured incorrectly.

Solution:

Contact support to resolve this issue.

Problem:

MN as UI node is not supported in Odin Automation 7.0

Solution:

  1. Before upgrading Odin Automation, add a separate UI node using the instructions from Upgrade Workflow Guide.

  2. In PCP, go to System > Settings > Brands, click on the name of a brand and click Edit.

  3. Select the newly added node as the UI Node for the brand.

  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each brand that points to the Management Node.
