Where is a backup node IP address.

When trying to connect to the backup node in the command line, the following output is displayed:

[root@ppa ~]# ftp
Connected to (
ppa-backup01 proftpd[14648]: error: no valid servers configured

ProFTP server cannot accept connections because of missing short host name in /etc/hosts file.

  1. Open /etc/hosts file
  2. Find a line like below:
  3. Append the short host name to the line: backup
  4. Test connection from command line:

    [root@ppa ~]# ftp
  5. Retry creating a backup.
